It’s only fitting for this week’s #FollowFriday to go to our Boone County Fire Protection District. Not only do they respond to fires, but medical emergencies, wildfires, and vehicle crashes. Their first location opened in 1964 on, what is now, Clark lane. Currently, we have the third-largest fire district in the state! Nelly’s father served in the Navy as a firefighter, so there is a special place for firefighters in our hearts. So much respect for our local heroes that risk their lives every day to help keep our community safe.
